Professional Social Counseling, Ostrava

The mission of the professional counseling service in the organization Tichý svět, o. p. s. is to support people with hearing and combined disabilities in adverse life situations and to defend their rights. The service helps clients handle challenging life situations and supports them in finding their own strategies for improvement. It creates barrier-free access to the public system and equal treatment in the Czech Republic. It provides advocacy and support in case of discrimination. It also includes legal counseling. 

This service provides: 

• Help in handling challenging life situations and supports clients in finding their own strategies to improve it,
• Assistance in handling welfare and social benefits, disability pensions, ID card of a disabled person (ZTP card),
• Advice in debt, family, and migration policy and in many other areas in which clients need support,
• Support in the areas of civil, family, employment, criminal and insolvency law and in other areas according to the needs of clients, as part of basic legal advice,
• Guidance for an independent, active, and effective coping with the given life situation.

Please note: Telephone communication in Ukrainian is possible only through written text. Oral communication in Ukrainian or Ukrainian sign language requires the presence of an interpreter and is possible by prior arrangement.
