Description

Social counseling is one of the important things that the Association for Integration and Migration (SIMI) does. They help people who are having difficulties understanding and navigating the Czech environment and system. Their goal is to support these individuals in becoming part of Czech society and becoming more independent.

The SIMI social workers are there to assist clients who are facing challenging situations in their lives. They provide them with the necessary information and help them connect with other services that can support them. They can meet with clients at their office in Prague or even go to different places like schools, employment offices, hospitals, or health insurance companies.

If you need their help, you can make an appointment by sending an email to poradna@migrace.com or by calling +420 224 224 379.

This service social workers offer guidance in various areas such as:

  • Finding employment: They assist with job market orientation, help in finding and keeping a job, offer support in writing resumes, and provide information about the rights and responsibilities of foreigners working in the Czech Republic.
  • Housing: They provide assistance in finding housing, whether it's in the commercial or social sector. They also inform people about their rights and responsibilities as tenants and explain any potential risks associated with renting a place.
  • Health insurance: They can help you with questions about health insurance coverage.
  • Social security and pensions: They provide information about social security benefits and pensions.
  • Social benefits: They can guide you through the process of accessing social benefits.
  • Education: They offer support and information related to education.
  • Family life and childcare: They can assist you with questions or concerns about family life and taking care of children.

To request their help, you simply need to contact the organization and set up a meeting with one of their workers. They can communicate with you in Czech, English, and, if needed, Russian or other languages. The services are provided in Prague as well as in other locations through their field programs.

Whether you are an international protection seeker, an asylum seeker, or someone without legal authorization to stay in the Czech Republic, they are there to support you.
