Social counseling is one of the important things that the Association for Integration and Migration (SIMI) does. They help people who are having difficulties understanding and navigating the Czech environment and system. Their goal is to support these individuals in becoming part of Czech society and becoming more independent.
The SIMI social workers are there to assist clients who are facing challenging situations in their lives. They provide them with the necessary information and help them connect with other services that can support them. They can meet with clients at their office in Prague or even go to different places like schools, employment offices, hospitals, or health insurance companies.
If you need their help, you can make an appointment by sending an email to poradna@migrace.com or by calling +420 224 224 379.
To request their help, you simply need to contact the organization and set up a meeting with one of their workers. They can communicate with you in Czech, English, and, if needed, Russian or other languages. The services are provided in Prague as well as in other locations through their field programs.
SIMI is here to help all foreigners, regardless of their residency status. Whether you are an international protection seeker, an asylum seeker, or someone without legal authorization to stay in the Czech Republic, they are there to support you. You can receive their services by providing your personal information or anonymously if you prefer. They also offer counseling over the phone or through the internet, answering any questions you may have via email or Facebook. It's important to note that their services are available only to foreigners who are currently in the Czech Republic.
SIMI values the uniqueness and dignity of every person they help. They respect your privacy and right to make your own choices. Their goal is to empower you and ensure that their support is consistent and ongoing. They do not discriminate based on age, skin color, language, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, or financial situation. Their services are available to everyone, regardless of their ethnic, national, social, religious, or any other background.
