Description

People in Need operates in every region of Czech Republic and offers various services for Ukrainian refugees, both adults and children, including teenagers.

Here, clients can use several services:

  • Individual counseling – This service supports adult refugees war in dealing with visa issues, labor-law matters, housing, finding doctors, enrolling in schools, and so on. If necessary, the service provides accompaniment to meetings and basic interpretation and translation assistance.
  • Support for the education of Ukrainian children in primary schools – This service supports families in coping with school demands (communication with schools, accompanying children to appointments, tutoring, etc.). Tutoring is intended for children who are struggling in school and its main goal is to prevent the child's academic decline. However, it also brings many other positive effects such as increased interest in school, reducing absences and greater activity in class.
  • Career counseling is a service that works with teenagers both individually and in groups, depending on their needs. Topics related to studying, finances, and free time are discussed, allowing young people to gain motivation and find ways to collaborate with others to achieve better results. The service is also for teenagers studying high school online in Ukraine, or for young people aged 14-26 who are not studying at all.
