The Interpretation Services of Tichá linka (Silent Line) provide barrier-free communication for individuals with hearing and combined disabilities through the interpretation of Czech sign language or transcription of spoken language.
The interpretation of Czech sign language and transcription of spoken language enable people with hearing and combined disabilities to communicate with hearing individuals without barriers and with full understanding. Clients utilize these services in resolving everyday life situations such as medical appointments, government offices, schools, and other institutions. For online transcription and interpretation, modern communication technology, the Tichá linka application, is utilized. The services are provided online and in-person, free of charge, and are available around the clock.
The service operates nonstop, and in urgent cases, it can be contacted outside of the specified working hours (Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 19:00, including weekends and public holidays).
Please note: Telephone communication in Ukrainian is possible only through written text. Oral communication in Ukrainian or Ukrainian sign language requires the presence of an interpreter and is possible by prior arrangement.
The service works throughout the Czech Republic.
