Volunteer Center INSTAND

The INSTAND Volunteer Center has been active in the Karlovy Vary Region since 2012. Volunteers visit patients in hospitals, elders, people with disabilities, and tutor children from socially disadvantaged families.

This service offers:

• Company for elders living in their own homes, retirement homes or nursing homes – chatting, playing games, reading books, and sharing experiences.
• Support for people with disabilities – volunteers and clients go for walks, take trips, play games, or just chat.
• Regular weekly tutoring for children from socially disadvantaged families.
• Psychosocial support – making hospital stays more pleasant for both child and adult patients.

Foreigners can participate as volunteers themselves, or as clients seeking a volunteer's help.

• No prior appointment is required.
• Closed on public holidays.
• Free of charge.
• The building is wheelchair-friendly.
• The building does not have an elevator.
• This location has female staff.
