Description

Husitská Low-Threshold Day Center, Husitská Community Center, and the Husitská Helps project provide individuals and families from Ukraine with social counseling, Czech language lessons, and humanitarian support. These services are delivered through various social service programs and specific sub-projects.

Humanitarian Aid and Support

Distributed within the Social Wardrobe in the courtyard on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 – 12:00 and 13:00 - 16:00, offering clothing, baby diapers, and hygiene items. Appointments can be arranged on other days by phone. The service is available at Husitská Community Center, in the courtyard, Husitská 114/74, Prague 3 – Žižkov.

Czech Lessons

  • Mondays and Wednesdays: 14:00 – 14:45; 15:00 – 15:45; 16:00 – 16:45; 17:00 – 17:45, at Husitská Community Center, in the courtyard, Husitská 114/74, Prague 3 - Žižkov.
  • Thursdays: 14:00 – 14:45; 15:00 – 15:45, at the Low-Threshold Club R-Mosty, entrance from Hartigová St. 2, Prague 3 - Žižkov.

English Lessons for Everyone

  • Fridays: 14:00 – 14:45; 15:00 – 15:45; 16:00 – 16:45; 17:00 – 17:45, at the Low-Threshold Club R-Mosty, entrance from Hartigová St. 2, Prague 3 – Žižkov.

Classes are divided based on language proficiency, and prospective students are advised to coordinate with the instructor beforehand at 702 544 6825.

Social and Employment Counseling

Provided by native Ukrainian speakers and available by appointment at 722 109 484 or via email at integrace@r-mosty.cz. Counseling is available over the phone, in-person at the Husitská Community Center, and includes accompaniment to administrative or medical appointments.

Low-Threshold Day Center

At the Low-Threshold Day Center, clients can access showers, laundry facilities, telephone, internet connectivity, and print, copy, or scan documents, all based on a service contract. Two native Ukrainian-speaking staff ensure there are no language barriers.

Transitional Opening Hours from June 1 to November 30, 2024:

Monday

  • 8:00 –11:00 – breakfast
  • 12:00 -12:30 food distribution for mothers with children
  • 12:30 – 15:30 food distribution for registered clients according to an individual plan (more information at https://www.husitska.eu/ukrajina/продукти.pdf).br/Tuesday
  • 8:00 –12:00 – breakfastbr/Wednesday

Husitská Helps Project Support:

Focuses on clients sleeping outdoors or in shelters, offering social counseling, activation activities, access to PCs and phones, showers, psychosocial counseling, and medical treatment. Given the linguistic capabilities of the project, support is also provided to Ukrainian citizens. Services are mostly field-based, with contact available at 727 817 890, and for Ukrainian speakers at 722 109 484.
